Seaford Nutrition Services Cooking Classes

Under the direction of Chef Leo Cabrera, the Seaford Nutrition Services Cooks, along with cooks from throughout Sussex County, participated in a district sponsored cooking class this summer. Chef Leo is the Head Chef and owner of  Modern Mixture Restaurant in Rehoboth Beach, DE. The program was a four day training which encompassed many cooking techniques. Training included some of the following: knife skills and uses for each type of knife, seasoning with fresh herbs, food marketing and presentation, standardize recipes, and recipe modification.
